2014 Torrance Unified "Visions of Unity" Contest
Each year, a District-wide competition is held where students submit original works depicting their interpretation of Dr. Martin Luther King's vision of unity and equality for all. Students compete in the following categories: artwork, photography, new media, sculpture, essay, short story, or poetry. This year, South High is proud to have four winners.

2014 Art Show
For the eighth consecutive year, the South High PTA has worked with the Fine Arts faculty and Library staff to transform the entire facility into an art gallery. Special thanks go to Michele Nadeau, who coordinated this year's show, along with her team of volunteers that included Fran Clegg, Karen Duane, Tiffany Aguirre, Tiffany Kent, Debbie Edmonds, Rita Scheumann, Carol LaRue, Karen Fitzpatrick, Christine Anderson, Lori Oliver, and Maja Radmilovich. This year's show featuring works from Ms. Lee's Art and Ceramics, Mr. Shea's Photography, Mrs. Turner's Fine Arts Seminar classes, Mrs. Wood's Web Design, and Mrs. Lehmer's class. The entries from the District's Vision of Unity and the PTA Reflections programs were also on display. Below are just a few of the hundreds of pieces of artwork on display.
